Cassini & tonolo
company history
In 1949 Vittorio Cassini and Cesare Tonolo founded C&T (Cassini & Tonolo Ltd.) in Nairobi's Industrial Area. Their main business was coach building, but they also manufactured agricultural implements to order.
In 1969 Vittorio's son Mario joined the company and began importing narrow gauge vineyard tractors from Italy which were ideally suited for coffee farming. He subsequently designed and built coffee sprayers which could be pulled behind the tractors. As tractor sales increased, C&T began importing higher horsepower tractors and associated implements for tea, wheat and sugar. Eventually C&T dropped coach building and concentrated solely on the agricultural market.
Today C&T are exclusive agents in Kenya for VALTRA and EICHER tractors, TMO winches, KESLA forestry equipment, HAKKI-PILKE firewood processing equipment, MASCHIO, FALC and JUMIL land preparation and harvesting implements.
C&T is still a family owned and run company.
